Romsey Mill are with young people, children, families and local communities. Through nurturing trusted relationships, we develop positive activities, provide care & advice, and facilitate learning & skills growth. We would particularly love to hear from people who can help us to strengthen our board’s diversity, to better reflect the people and communities that we’re together with. Becoming a trustee with Romsey Mill About you Whether you’re someone with prior experience as a trustee or wanting to take your first step at board level, we want to hear from you. We are particularly looking for new trustees who have knowledge, experience and skills in any of the following areas: Management of fundraising in a larger charity or social enterprise Business or community connections in Peterborough Facilities management Leading youth & community development work Pastoral support & team wellbeing Finance We are keen to develop a diverse board, better reflecting the people and communities that we’re alongside. What does a trustee do? Trustees work as a group with collective responsibility for ensuring that Romsey Mill fulfils its purposes for the common good. Trustees plan and review the charity’s work on a regular basis. Championing and promoting Romsey Mill is also an important part of the role. As a trustee you will have the opportunity to: Grow the wellbeing & life chances of people and communities Develop new skills, with induction & training Influence and shape strategic development Provide oversight of key activities Network and grow relational connections The expected time commitment is six main board meetings each year, a quarterly smaller group meeting and an annual development day.
