Get involved Christmas Appeal 2025 BRIGHTEN A YOUNG PERSON'S FUTURE DONATE HERE Throughout the year, Romsey Mill is supporting local young people, children and families with their mental health and wellbeing through our positive, relational youth and family work. This Christmas, we are seeking to raise over £30,000 during the month of December, to help fund that vital work into next year. To help us achieve that target, we partnered with The Big Give between midday on Tuesday 2nd December to midday on Tuesday 9th December, during which time every donation was doubled, thanks to pledges made and match funding awarded by The Reed Foundation, our Big Give Champion. Thanks to their generosity and yours, we raised £25,000 via The Big Give. From 9th December onwards, our Christmas Appeal continued as normal and you can still donate via our website and other usual channels. Any donation you can make would have a positive impact in the lives of local young people, children and families. Could you partner with us to help ‘brighten a young person’s life’ and make a donation? Romsey Mill believes that no young person, child or family’s future should be determined by their current situation. 20% of children aged 7 to 16 years, and 23% of young people aged 17 to 24 years have experienced mental disorder. (Mental Health of Children and Young People in England, 2023) Through Romsey Mill’s relational approach to youth and family work, our experienced youth and family workers offer support for young people and families whose mental health and wellbeing has been impacted by the challenges they are currently facing. We engage with them, listen, and create safe spaces where young people and can build relationships of trust and make friends, working with them to create opportunities and develop activities that interest them (e.g. art, sport, music and cooking skills). The impact of Romsey Mill’s relational youth and family work: 90% of parents of autistic young people said that their child's mental wellbeing had improved 78% of young parents said that their mental health had improved. 92% of young people we work with said that their youth worker gave them the support they needed What young people and families told us: “Romsey Mill is important to me as it is a safe and welcoming place, where I get to relax ad chill out when I need." "It's a safe space....where people 'get' him, and he meets others like him." “Romsey Mill helped me to be more involved and not just stay quiet. They've allowed me to feel more like I am part of the group." “My youth worker helped me with my mental health and confidence and anxiety and communication." Manage Cookie Preferences
