Biking to Barcelona (and running, swimming, rowing……!)

A team from Cogentia Healthcare Consulting Ltd has travelled virtually all the way to Barcelona to help raise funds for Romsey Mill

Members of the team tracked all their physical activity over a three-week period covering the distance of 1,212km from their offices in Cambridge to Barcelona, the venue for an international health data conference.

They walked, ran, rowed or swam, using Strava to record the 1,212km, helping to raise £500 for Romsey Mill.

Evie Cooke, from Cogentia, said:

“Barcelona was the venue for this year’s ISPOR Conference, which focussed on scientific evidence in understanding and improving the health and well-being of people across the globe.

A few members from the Cogentia team attended the conference, so we all thought we could create a unique fundraising event around the timing and location of the conference, to support Romsey Mill’s excellent work with local young people and families.”

Brighten a young person's future - Romsey Mill Christmas Appeal 2024

Throughout the year, Romsey Mill engages with 2,500 local young people, children and families, supporting mental health and wellbeing through positive, relational youth and family work. 

This Christmas, we are seeking to raise £30,000 to help fund that work into next year. 

Any donations made before midday on Tuesday 10th December will be doubled (up to a total of £20,000) thanks to match funding from friends of Romsey Mill and The Reed Foundation, through The Big Give.
